What form do I use to sign over parental rights/adoption for Utah I am signing my parental rights away to my ex and her husband as they don't want me or my family to have anything to do with my two daughters. I live in Utah. I pay $600.00 a month child support with no benefits, not even phone calls. I don't even get to claim one of the girls on taxes. I had one attorney do the parental rights form, but he wouldn't do the adoption one, that was $150.00. He said my ex and her husband could go somewhere else for the adoption, and pay for their own as they are the ones that want this to happen, however the ex is in bootcamp with the army and the ex stated they can't afford to get the adoption started. I told her I would pay for it. Yes I said that, but why give them $600.00 a month so they can have all the benefits on my money. |

Well first of all you don't have to give up your rights just because your ex and her husband want you to. Your paying child support and you should have visitations though the court,if your not getting them you can file a motion with the court asking for joint custody and visitations. If you sign off your rights of the children then you do not have to pay child support any longer. You need to do what is right for you,do you want to really sign off your rights that is not saying nuch to your children they need you in thier life and once you sign away your rights there is no turning back.
