My Out of control daughter is 16 and I want her to leave my house I have tried counseling several times over the last 2yrs. She just does NOT wan to be told what to do. Big things little things....EVERYTHING. Please dont tell me this is 'normal' behavior for teens. I have raised 2 other ones and NEVER had problems like this. i also have teenage nieces and nephews....none of whom treat their parents like my daughter treats me. Constantly lying, sneaking, disrespectful, lazy, horrible attitude.

Talk to child protective services and ask what you can legally do. Or talk to your priest/minister and ask if they know of a place she can go to. If you kick her out of the house and she is not considered of legal age in your state then you could get in legal trouble. A friend of mine had a similiar problem and got his son into Boystown, which really turned the son around.
Here are their website which can explain what can be done >>

or here is their total free number to talk to someone that should be able to help.

Please give it a try, it couldn't hurt and maybe will be the answer you are looking for.
GOOD LUCK

I worked with teenage girls in a residential treatment facility for 31 years and have seen many girls who acted out as your daughter is doing. Your state should have a Department of Health which could help you to find residential facilities within your state and which takes your insurance or, depending on your income, may help you find ways to pay for her stay. You would neend to be involved in her treatment for it to work however. The girls whose parents came to family therapy and for regular visits are the ones who went home successfully. The girls whose families were not involved or only came on occasion were the ones who ended up in and out of placements or even ended up in juvenile detention. Please do not let this young lady ruin the happiness of your family. You could also try your local Community Mental Health Agency for help. Good Luck!

The best evidence-based treatment approaches for emotionally and behaviorally disordered teens says to keep kids with these problems away from each other. This is because of what are called "peer deviancy training" or "negative peer socialization effects."
The best available treatment programs are home-based and often totally free of charge. They're proven to stabilize behavior and to improve academic performance and reduce drug and criminality problems. Here are some contact links:

If you need out of home placement please check out MTFC foster care before group-based residential treatment settings, which should only be used for immediate safety reasons. Here's an MTFC link:

Finally, when working with a therapist around teen behavioral problems, make sure they have training and extensive clinical experience in "evidence-based" behavioral or social learning based treatments that work. http://medschool.umaryland.edu/innovations/EBP.asp
Don't be afraid to email and call program managers and clinical supervisors in these organizations to find the best "proven" treatment and support resources in your area.
