My husband just enlisted in the Navy as a CTI... After boot camp he is being sent to California for CTI training for 1 year and then to Texas for 6mths and possibly somewhere else for more training. Will the Navy transfer us with him or will we be moved to his finale post? |

Boot camp attendance wont move you because he wont be able to stay with you during boot. As afras his year long traing, he may be consider perminent party and be able to move you, but rules have changed since I retired in 1991 and due to money, they may not. Ask his Navy recuriter to get the answers

When my husband was in Navy training this past year in Pensacola, FL he was not considered permanent party. I was not able to move with him until he reached his permanent command. You can not live on base at the post he will eventually be stationed at until he lives there as well. If you just want to move to the area, you can of course do that whenever you want.
