Unfortunately, once a child enters into the juvenile court system and the state takes over their "care", you as a parent lose most of your rights. If the policy of the boot camp is to shave their heads, then they will do it first and ask questions later.

Best of luck with dealing with this difficult situation--my nephew had to go through something similar and while it was hard, it really changed him for the better in the long run--he is a happy, healthy, productive guy now....

Do i have say so as a parent for a community boot camp to shave my son's head? OK Ill deal in to this hand and i dont seem to under stand the question because its kind of stupid to worry about a hair cut when you should be worried about your son getting well and not making a life of crime school truancy is a crime and this starts the crime life for children and all the heartache this causes people including you. And this is the real world get over it and join in the world as all other people see the world as harsh and cruel and pain that people have to take because of sons that didn't have a nice haircut and that's the only thing a parent worried about was thier sons looks . what about the people the son can harm ? what did he do that caused him to go to boot camp. what will be next for him to do your poor little boy may do the crimes and now he will do the time and by state standards not yours any more and they will cut his hair and he will like it or else and you will like it also so get over it . And they will spray him for bugs also and delouse him and make him do stuff that will make him sorry his little A $% done what he done and work the heck out of him and make him want water and make him a man . and if not then i hope they put him away for a very long time and he meets bubba and bubba makes him a man.

Look into their guidelines how to treat the religion at the enrollees.

If your faith prevent your child from having his hair cut then make sure that the program staff know about your faith and that you consider kesh something to be obeyed. No school district want to go to court based on lack of respect of peoples personal belief.
